ALBA comes from albus — white. Dawn, in Spanish. Scotland, in Gaelic. Once, it named all of Britain. Over time, it stayed in the north — while in the south, it became Albion. From the white cliffs of England to the mountains of Scotland, from Spanish shores to new worlds across the sea — Alba reminds us that every sunrise, every landfall, holds the promise of beginnings.
For me, ALBA is more than a name — it’s direction.
A quiet signal that light always returns, even after the longest night. My own compass was shaped by sea, by wind, by silence. From the still horizon of the North to the Southern Isles — a single word that binds stories together in the light of renewal.
Because nature doesn’t compete — it collaborates. And every lesson in craft begins there.
Sometimes, it’s not you who chooses the road — the road chooses you.
For nearly 30 years, I was a marine engineer.
From fishing fleets and shipyards to LNG and FSRU projects around the world — from Colombia to China. Years of voyages. Countless ports. Friendships scattered across continents.
Marine engineering teaches precision, speed, and control — but not how to stand still.
But in every life, there’s a turning point — a moment that breaks the rhythm and reshapes you. It teaches humility — and that the only way forward is inward: to trust yourself again, to hear your own voice. To face the questions: Who are you? Why are you here?
That’s when I learned to listen differently — to silence, to the horizon, and to nature. In the Canary Islands — a place where time moves differently. Where the ocean speaks to the mountains, and the air smells of salt and laurel.
That’s when Tenerife became not a refuge, but a beginning.
Here, I’m learning again — to live slowly, to watch how light rests on wood, how a drop of resin turns into amber, how silence becomes sound.
Tenerife never promises an easy life.
Here, every stone must be lifted. Every terrace, built by hand. But in that work grows respect — for the land, for others, for yourself.
This island doesn’t give direct answers.
It changes you quietly — like water polishing stone, like wind carrying stories through the pines. Stories about the world, about people — and, ultimately, about you.
