For me, ALBA is more than a name — it’s direction.
A compass shaped by sea, wind, and silence.
Because nature doesn’t compete — it collaborates.
And every lesson in craft begins there.
For nearly 30 years, I worked as a marine engineer — from fishing fleets and shipyards to LNG and FSRU projects across the world, from Colombia to China.
Years at sea. Countless ports. Friendships scattered across continents.
Marine engineering teaches precision, speed, and control — but not how to stand still.
At some point, life breaks its own rhythm.
It asks different questions: Who are you? Why are you here?
And the only way forward becomes inward — learning to listen again.
That’s when I began listening differently — to silence, to the horizon, to nature.
And that’s when the Canary Islands appeared — a place where time moves slower, where the ocean speaks to the mountains, and the air carries salt and laurel.
Tenerife didn’t become a refuge.
It became a beginning.
Here, I’m learning again — how light rests on wood, how resin settles into form, how stillness becomes sound.
This island never promises ease. Every stone is lifted by hand. Every terrace is earned.
And through that work grows respect — for the land, for others, for yourself.
Tenerife doesn’t give direct answers.
It changes you quietly — like water shaping stone, like wind carrying stories through the pines.
Because sometimes, it’s not you who chooses the island —

After fire, it returns — turning blackened slopes green again.
